Thirty years ago today, on July 13, 1985, from the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia to the Wembley Stadium in London, England, the world experienced what a 16-hour music show live via satellite is like.

The Live Aid benefit concert was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to support the starving people of Ethiopia and set a milestone for the music generation of the 80’s. 25 years ago in July, Madonna was touring Europe with her most famous show ever, the Blond Ambition Tour, a show that generated excitment, and controversy all over the world. Those amazing days were then captured on film by director Alek Keshishian in the Truth or Dare documentary.

On July 10th, 1990 Madonna brought her Blond Ambition Tour to the Stadio Flaminio in Rome, Italy.

The show was welcomed by an extra dose of controversy in Italy, with a criticism to which Madonna responded with the now-famous “Vatican speech” she addressed the press with when she had just landed in Rome’s Ciampino airport. 25 years later, many things have changed, but many also haven’t at all. Read More

Rebel Heart Tour Tickets Selling Fast For Madonna’s Stops In Australia, New Zealand

Madonna, the reigning Queen of Pop, is set to embark on her international tour, the Rebel Heart Tour, starting in Montreal on September 9 in support of Rebel Heart, her thirteenth studio album.

The North American leg of the tour will wrap up in October and will lead to her covering Europe and the UK in November and December. The Rebel Heart Tour will continue on into Australia and New Zealand in March 2016, and will be historic tour stops for the singer – her New Zealand dates mark her first time ever touring in the country, and her return to Australia will be her first trip there in a long-awaited 23 years. Read More
