This is a Tuesday Night
Longtime MadonnaTribe contributor Rico wanted to share some details about the Madame X theatre show at the Wiltern on Tuesday night.
The show ended at 1:30AM. Madonna’s sister Melanie and her husband of 33 years Joe Henry were in the audience.
Joe Henry, who wrote some of Madonna’s finest songs such as Don’t Tell Me, Jump, Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You and Falling Free was also the beer bitch of the night.
Madonna pointed her sister out twice, and in particular before the Fado section, because she speaks Portuguese. And that she’ll probably grill her for it, but Madonna said she didn’t care, she is not scared of her.
The audience at the Wiltern was a little tough. Madonna kept saying “this is a Tuesday night” and one could feel she had to work hard to get the crowd going. Also, up on the mezzanine there was a lot of traffic of people leaving throughout the entire show, probably to get more drinks and/or bathroom breaks. They were mostly sitting also, except for when old songs would come on, like Like A Prayer.
The Polaroid selfie went to a real estate guy called Reuben for $5k. He had a lot of envelopes, so it took a while until she got all the money out to count it And then Madonna brushed them off the stage saying “get this trash off my stage”
Rico went to the show with Drag Race alumni Pandora Boxx, and wore his Re-invention Tour kilt which he has worn to many shows before – check them out in the picture below.
It seems that the beer bitch moment in Los Angeles turned into celebrity bb, as Kim Kardashian was the one on Wednesday night.
Madame X will be on the Wiltern stage again tonight, 21 November, with three more shows on Saturday, Sunday and Monday night before the Tour heads to Boston, MA.
Thanks to our friend Rico.
