{"id":19658,"date":"2019-09-08T11:49:40","date_gmt":"2019-09-08T10:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.madonnatribe.com\/en\/?p=19658"},"modified":"2019-09-08T12:04:35","modified_gmt":"2019-09-08T11:04:35","slug":"ticketmaster-announces-the-phone-free-madame-x-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.madonnatribe.com\/en\/2019\/ticketmaster-announces-the-phone-free-madame-x-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Ticketmaster announces the phone-free Madame X Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A mailout has reached <strong>Ticketmaster<\/strong> customers who purchased tickets for the 17 September show of the <strong>Madame X Tour<\/strong> at the Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, the one that unexpectedly became the <strong>opening night<\/strong> of the tour after the first three dates were cancelled and partly rescheduled last month.<\/p>\n<p>The email contains useful information about the show, explains how electronic tickets work and announces the cameras and phones policy in place at the event, which is now ten days away.<\/p>\n<p>All tickets will be delivered as <strong>Ticketmaster SafeTix<\/strong> mobile tickets, powered by a unique barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds so it cannot be stolen or copied, keeping tickets safe and secure.<\/p>\n<p>To access the show you will have to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the <strong>Ticketmaster App<\/strong> from the App Store or Google Play.<\/li>\n<li>Sign in to your Ticketmaster account, then tap on <strong>My Events<\/strong> to locate your order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tap your order<\/strong> to view your tickets. At entry, show your phone to get scanned, and you&#8217;re in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To ensure ease of entry, doors for this event will open at 7:30PM, two hours prior to the show\u2019s 9:30PM start. Please arrive early with your mobile tickets ready. Click here to learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.com\/safetix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ticketmaster SafeTix<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Ticketmaster informs their customers that the show will be <strong>a phone-free experience<\/strong>, a step that is not completely surprising as it&#8217;s increasingly embraced by artists at the venues, but that is certainly something new for an artist such as <strong>Madonna<\/strong> who last had a no-cameras policy enforced at her shows during the <strong>re-Invention tour<\/strong>, leaving fans free to capture a memory of their concert experience snapping pics at each of her following tours to date.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s new this time is that this will not be a simple &#8220;no cameras no phones please&#8221; polite request from the artist or the promoter, but that the policy will be physically enforced with the use of a new especially designed piece of technology.<\/p>\n<p>As per the Ticketmaster mailout the <strong>Madame X Tour<\/strong> a <strong>phone-free experience<\/strong> at the BAM show means that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use of <strong>cellphones<\/strong>, <strong>smart watches<\/strong>, <strong>smart accessories<\/strong>, <strong>cameras<\/strong> or <strong>recording devices<\/strong> will not be permitted in the performance space.<\/li>\n<li>You need to <strong>make note of your seat location<\/strong> prior to entering the building &#8211; you will be unable to access your mobile tickets after they are scanned. We suggest making a backup print of your order may be a good idea in case someone is claiming the same seat as yours and avoid mix-ups.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone seen using a cellphone during the performance will be <strong>escorted out<\/strong> of the venue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To create a phone-free experience, they are using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.overyondr.com\/\"><strong>Yondr<\/strong><\/a>, a patented system that comprises a <strong>mobile phone pouch<\/strong> which closes with a proprietary lock.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19660\" style=\"width: 760px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/https:\/\/www.overyondr.com\/howitworks\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19660\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-19660 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/news.madonnatribe.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/yondr_001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-19660\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Yondr system, from the overyondr.com website.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Using <strong>Yondr<\/strong> guests maintain possession of their phones at all times &#8211; no need to store them at the lockers &#8211;\u00a0 but they can access them throughout the event only at designated <strong>Phone Use Areas<\/strong> in the venue. All phones will be re-secured in Yondr cases before returning to the event space.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to <strong>remain in touch<\/strong> with someone during the event, Yondr suggests to set your phone to <strong>vibrate<\/strong> as you enter the venue.
