{"id":10318,"date":"2015-01-21T15:39:05","date_gmt":"2015-01-21T14:39:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.madonnatribe.com\/en\/?p=10318"},"modified":"2015-01-21T16:26:41","modified_gmt":"2015-01-21T15:26:41","slug":"arrested-in-madonna-demo-leak-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.madonnatribe.com\/en\/2015\/arrested-in-madonna-demo-leak-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect arrested in Madonna demo leak case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police in Israel have arrested a man on suspicion of hacking into Madonna&#8217;s computer and releasing demo versions of songs on her new album <strong><em>Rebel Heart<\/em><\/strong> online, according to reports by\u00a0<strong><a title=\"YNet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/articles\/0,7340,L-4617608,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">YNet.com<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a title=\"The Hollywood Reporter\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/israeli-arrested-madonna-demo-leak-765623\" target=\"_blank\">Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Local TV <strong>Channel 2<\/strong> news reports that the 39-year-old was arrested Wednesday following a month-long investigation involving a private investigation firm and the cyber crime unit of Israel&#8217;s Lahav 433, a crime-fighting organization comparable to the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement by <strong>Lahav 433<\/strong>, the suspect \u201cbroke into the personal computers of several international artists over the past few months and stole promotional final-cut singles which have yet to be released and traded them online for a fee.&#8221; It added: &#8220;In light of the findings of the investigation the unit collaborated closely with the FBI, with suspicion of even more break-ins to computers owned by unknown international artists, stealing and selling their works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tel Aviv-based investigations firm <strong>Wizman Yaar Investigations<\/strong> released a statement saying it began looking into the case after receiving a complaint from <strong>Guy Oseary<\/strong>&#8216;s office. According to the statement, it sent an agent to New York \u201cto check the singer\u2019s personal computer, confirming there was indeed a break in from a computer in Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The firm said it then traced the source of the computer to Tel Aviv and contacted Lahav 433, which continued the formal investigation.
