“Madonna” debuts as a BPI Iconic Album with a Silver certification

The famous Platinum, Gold and Silver certifications awarded by the British Phonographic Industry in recognition of sales milestones – also known as BPI’s Iconic Album Awards – will include audio streaming data from this week.

The first albums to benefit from the incorporation of streaming include Madonna’s 1983 eponymous debut, which today is awarded Silver for combined sales of over 60,000.

Report: Madonna’s Australian dates to be announced on June 9th

Madonna fans down under were told that the Rebel Heart Tour was going to bring the Queen of Pop back to Australia on the same day the 2015/2016 tour was announced on March 2nd this year, but they were left with no other official news since.

An update by the Australian division of Live Nation Entertainment, which has a page dedicated to the Rebel Heart Tour up since March is still missing, but now the local press is reporting that an announcement can finally take place next week. Read More
