Everybody Get Up And Dance! Danceteria is officially the new single off Madonna’s Confessions II, impacting radios on Friday, July 10, Warner Music Italy announced in a press release.
Written by Madonna, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Stuart Price, and Lou Reed and performed by Madonna, Danceteria is the 5th track on the new album and has been produced by Madonna, Andrew Watt, Cirkut and Stuart Price. It is one of the six songs in Confessions II – The Film directed by TORSO, with the iconic bathroom scene filled by cameos and instantly-viral choreography. Madonna today posted a new Reel with behind the scenes footage from the set.
Will we eventually get a full video for Danceteria just like we did with Bring Your Love? And will the song have a “clean” edit for radios with sh*t and c-word taken off just like the version we heard at the end of the iHeart Radio and TikTok Live last week?
Recorded and mixed in London, it features Andrew Watt on bass and guitar, Cirkut and Watt on keyboards, programming by Cirkut and dditional keyboards and programming by Stuart Price.
Danceteria contains an interpolation of Walk On The Wild Side by Lou Reed, which is why Lou Reed receives a writing credit for the song.
