Confessions II Guide – The Digital Editions
Now updated with the CONFESSIONS II – Grindr Edition.
When we started writing the Tribe Guides for Confessions II we did it first to help keep track of the coloured variants of the 12-song LP that were surfacing and eventually brought the total of the vinyl variations of Madonna’s new album to number 15 (so far).
We also made a page for the CDs and the Compact Cassette and we tought it’d be pleonastic to include the digital downloads.
Then something changed, and it should be obvious by now why we set up this page: in just two days, two more variants have been released, bringing the total so far to number six.
Confessions II is available for streaming on a vast array of digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, the iTunes Store, Amazon Music, Soundcloud, Pandora, YouTube Music, Audiomack, Dezeer, Tidal an Qobuz.
As audiophiles well know these services use different formats with different audio quality and bitrates but all of them were sharing the same 16-song tracklist, until only a few days ago…

The digital edition of Confessions II includes the 16-track version of the album as a high-quality audio download.

2) CONFESSIONS II: Icon Edition
The Icon Edition of Confessions II includes the 16-track version of the album plus the bonus track released as part of the partnership between Madonna and Absolut, Hot Sauce.
It is available here.
The choice of releasing a variant version of the album in digital form was a smart move from Warner Records; pushed by fact it is currently the only place where the bonus track is available, the Icon Editon of the album eventually overlapped the standard version of Confessions II in the iTunes Album Chart for the U.S., with Madonna simultaneously holding both the first and the second spot in the list.

CONFESSION II: Instrumentals is a digital bundle that contains the continuous mix of the 16-songs of the album and the unmixed instrumentals of each track.
The digital album at the moment is not available for streaming – only to purchase – and it’s a steal at 3,49€ on Amazon Music, at 3,99€ on Apple Music and starting at 4,49€ on Qobuz, where is also available as a Hi-res 44.1 kHz for 6,49€.

CONFESSIONS II: Grindr Edition is currently available for download only and contains the 16-song continuous mix of the album as virtual disc one plus the live set from Madonna’s performance in Times Square on disc two. This is the second official release in partnership with the Gayborhood, following the Exxxclusive Picture Disc Vinyl with the same artwork.

6) CONFESSIONS II: Afterhours Edition
The latest drop in this digital edition series, the CONFESSIONS II: Afterhours Edition includes six remixes from the album on virtual disc two, including two previously unreleased ones for Love Sensation by Austrian-born, Manchester-based DJ, producer, and remixer salute, known for their euphoric, high-energy blend of UK garage, French house, and ’80s synth-pop, and Floorplan, the father-daughter duo of Robert & Lyric Hood who have re-positioned the euphoric feel of gospel into their disco, funk and soul styled house across the world’s dancefloors.
