The MAP
As you remember, The Celebration Tour presents more than 400 mq of stage, the largest for any Madonna tour. The layout is inspired by the grid of Manhattan with five individual stages and a combined lenght of more than 75 meters of catwalks.
Where the main stage usually is we find a three-layered circular structure that is also a nod to the wedding cake of Madonna’s original VMA performance. The stage is connected to an arc-shaped loop linking the East and West catwalks with two gentle sloping down stairways.
Two more unique elements of this show are the cube that emerges from the Uptown stage, on top of which Madonna performs Bedtime Story, and the illuminated portal frame that transports Madonna 9 meters off the ground around the arena during Live to Tell and Ray of Light.
We’ve been happy to learn that MadonnaTribe helped many fans to choose their favourite spot to watch the show from with the Stage+Songs Guide, a map we designed blending The Celebration Tour stage with the list of the songs performed by Madonna, to let everyone keep track of the many things happening during the show.
As you know the shows of the North American leg of Madonna’s Celebration Tour do not feature a general admittance standing floor where you can move freely during the night, but if you have not bought yout tickets yet or you want to add an extra date to your own tour itinerary, you may want to have another look at The Map to figure out what’s the best spot for you – hint: there isn’t really one as chacun à son goût.
