Madonna Expressing Herself in Boston, MA
After a much deserved break in the Caribbean for the Holiday Season, Madonna brought The Celebration Tour back on the road with two shows at the TD Garden in Boston on Monday and Tuesday night, the first two dates of 2024.
The major news to report is that an acoustic version of Express Yourself replaced I Will Survive on both nights. Here is a clip from Monday’s show shared by TheMrKingAlex on YouTube.
There was no guest judge in the ballroom section on the first night, but singer Maggie Rogers joined Madonna on the second show.
Melanie Ciccone and her husband Joe Henry attended the show on the second night and Madonna got a bit emotional mentioning her sister and her brother-in-law in the mid-show speech.
Still no sign of the tourbook – keep the faith – but fans spotted a few new merchandise items including replicas of the Girlie Show pens and a black shirt with an early era Madonna portrait by Richard Corman on the back an an embroidered tour logo on the front.
Madonna was on stage at 10:07 on Monday night and at 9:45 on Tuesday night.
The Celebration Tour is now ready to visit the second country of this North American leg with two shows at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Thursday and Friday night.
