California Dreaming
Madonna brought The Celebration Tour to Seattle for two nights last weekend before finally reaching Vancouver, the last Canadian show of this leg and also the city where the tour was meant to start before the North American dates got rescheduled.
DJ Mary Mac was once again the opening act on all three dates, with Madonna performing Take a Bow at each show. The 1994 hit has now been performed at four shows (overall and in a row), one time more than Frozen. Express Yourself also consolidated its record of most performed song in the acoustic sing-along, with I Will Survive only making its appearance at six shows in the North American leg so far.
RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Miz Cracker took the special guest judge seat on both nights in Seattle – yes, that’s a first – while Pamela Anderson – who now lives on Vancouver Island – joined Madonna on the ballroom stage on Wednesday night.
The tour is now moving to California for about three weeks: the show in Sacramento takes place tomorrow night, followed by two dates in San Francisco and a short trip to Nevada with two nights in Las Vegas next week; then back to Los Angeles for five shows, followed by Palm Desert.
