The Celebration Tour Stage – What We Know So Far
Now that the tickets for The Celebration Tour are on sale, we can have a more precise idea of how the Madonna stage is designed this time. The venues in North America and the O2 in London show in detail the position of the seat you’re buying, so we can try to compare the new layout with the ones for the Confessions, MDNA, and Rebel Heart tours.
We looked up images for the MDNA and Rebel Heart tour stages in our archives – as you can see the maps circulating at the time were very detailed and based on advanced production drawings. The map for the Confessions Tour is not as much accurate but it still gives you an idea of the relationship between the stage and the venue.
Among the various things you’ll notice there’s the fact that the area in front of the main stage – which will be standing in the European shows – has strong similarities with the golden triangle from the MDNA Tour; that the central catwalk does not extend as much as the one that lead to the heart-shaped satellite stage in the Rebel Heart Tour; and that what we call “main” stage is not as deep as the one of her previous show (and keep in mind that from the 3D visualisation of the Lisbon venue The Celebration Tour Venues, the circular bit of the stage looks shaped like a wedding cake).
