Luigi & Iango at Rizzoli Galleria This Friday
Photographic duo and longtime Madonna friends and collaborators Luigi & Iango will inaugurate their first solo exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan, Italy this week.
Unveiled will present more than 100 fine art prints of their most acclaimed work, as well as unpublished, archive, behind the scene materials and videos. The artistic duo manages to converge on a single approach in their search for images that are aesthetically beautiful and at the same time a reflection of our society and of today’s values.
An introspection rather than a retrospective, Unveiled opens this Friday, September 22 and runs until Sunday. November 26th, 2023 – the day after Madonna’s second Celebration Tour concert in Milan. Access to the exhibition is free.
On Friday, September 22, the duo will also present the accompanying book, Luigi & Iango: Unveiled, published by Phaidon in August this year, at the Rizzoli Galleria bookstore in Milan.
Luigi & Iango will be in conversation with Simone Marchetti, Vanity Fair European editorial director; as the Tribers know Luigi & Iango were the mastermind behind the exclusive portfolio that brought together for the first time the three editions of the Vanity Fair European network – Italy, France and Spain – to debut The Icon Issue. Madonna – the Ultimate Icon – was the cover star and featured in the magazine(s) with an intimate interview with Marchetti.
Luigi & Iango will also be available for a book signing session and this is a golden chance for collectors to have their copy of Luigi & Iango: Unveiled signed by the photographers themselves.
The event starts at 6 PM on Friday at Rizzoli Galleria, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan.
