In Bed with Madonna
The stage designed by creative director Lewis James for The Celebration Tour is unique in so many ways and brings to the audience an experience that has no precedent in a Madonna show. For every tour hardcore fans always had a clear idea of what the place to be in the stadium or arena was, this time there are so many things happening in so many different places and often at the same time that every spot is precious and give to the audience a memorable experience.
There are of course some highlights, but this time you have to cope with the idea that being right in front of the Queen in a particular moment of the show will also mean being far from her in another one – and no, knowing the Tribe map by heart can only help you to a bit.
Still, one of those memorable moments happen when you find yourself right in front of the West stage – the one on the right if you have your back at the mixing desk area – and see the Blond Ambition red bed emerging from the ground, for a short but meaningful performance that reprises the original Papa Don’t Preach tour choreography.
That masterfully executed routine has been captured by MadonnaTribe’s Antonio Valle at the fourth and last Celebration Tour show at the Accor Arena in Paris last Monday and presented in the slideshow below.
