Ciao Madame X
The International Deluxe edition of Madonna’s album Madame X is now available on the digital platforms, making available for the first time on a non-physical format the three bonus tracks included on CD2 of the original 2019 release:
1. Funana (Ciccone/Ahmadzai) produced by Madonna and Mirwais.
2. Back That Up To The Beat (Ciccone/Hazzard/Williams), produced by Madonna, Jeff Bhasker, Mike Dean, Pharrell Williams.
3. Ciao Bella (Ciccone/Ahmadzai) produced by Madonna and Mirwais.
Madonna herself first mentioned the bonus tracks she picked up for the most complete edition of Madame X in an interview with French magazine Têtu back at the time, crediting Portuguese singer of Cape Verdean descent Dino D’Santiago for helping her and introducing her to Portuguese music, also working as an interface with the musicians from Cape Verde they worked with. Madonna made Funana with Dino D’Santiago while singer Kimi Djabate from Guinea-Bissau sings on Ciao Bella.
As everyone knows, Back That Up To The Beat is a creation of Madonna and Pharrell Williams originally produced for the Rebel Heart album and released in its original demo version last month.
The digital release of the International Deluxe edition is also a nice way for Madonna to wrap up her Madame X era on the verge of the announcement of her upcoming 2023 World Tour.
