Au Revoir Paris
Madonna wrapped up the Parisian stop of The Celebration Tour with two more shows at the Accor Arena in Bercy on Sunday and Monday night. Here is a short recap of the live updates about show No. 3 and 4 – or No. 18 and 19, if you start counting from the opening night of the European leg – that MadonnaTribe was happy to bring to you on Instagram and Twitter. Don’t forget to check our social media if you missed the pictures, videos and reports shared by the Tribe.
Both shows started at around 10 PM – at 10.05 PM on the first night and a little earlier at 9:50 on the following day.
French dee-jay Kiddy Smile was the opening act for the third show on November 19 and graced the stage as the guest judge on the ballroom section on the following night.
French culture and fashion figure Michèle Lamy was the guest judge on November 20. She is the life partner of fashion designer Rick Owens, who was on stage with Madonna during the first Celebration Tour show in Paris on November 12.
After being the guest judges on show No. 1, Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran aka Matières Fécales / Fecal Matter returned on stage as the opening act for the last show in Paris last night.
During her introductory speech before Burning Up on Sunday night Madonna confirmed she had the privilege of filming something inside the Opera Garnier in Paris for a yet unknown project – “it’s so fucking beautiful”, she added. Last week she already visited the site when she joined JR and Damien Jalet for their Chiroptera project that is performed on the facade of the Palais Garnier which is currently under restoration.
Adding another chapter to the iconic saga, Madonna sported yet another version of the new haute couture corset designed for her by Jean Paul Gaultier – what’s your favourite one? We really love this third one!
The Celebration Tour now travels to Italy for the two Madonna shows in Milan on Thursday and Saturday night.
