Meeting Julia Fox
You’ve seen her in one of Madonna‘s recent Instagram entries, now EW has learned that actress Julia Fox is being considered for the role of the Queen of Pop’s longtime friend, Debi Mazaar.
On Instagram, Madonna wrote:
Went to dinner with Julia to talk about my movie and some other folks showed up…………………😎🎥🎬
Fox was the first one featured in Madonna’s six-pic Instagram post, with Kanye West, Antonio Brown, and Floyd Mayweather appearing in the other ones.

Italian-American actress Julia Fox is known for her debut performance in the 2019 film Uncut Gems, for which she was nominated for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards. She’s also co-hosting Spotify podcast Forbidden Fruits with Niki Takesh.
The EW.com article was also a chance for a brief recap of Madonna’s ongoing movie projet. They report:
Madonna has been working on bringing her life story to the big screen for several years, with Universal Pictures and Amy Pascal producing the title with Madonna in the director’s chair. She initially began writing the script with Oscar-winning Juno scribe Diablo Cody, whom EW previously confirmed finished a full draft of the script before moving on to other projects. Erin Wilson reportedly stepped in after Cody left.
A representative for Madonna declined to comment.
