Madonna on the V&A Collectors’ Edition of Harper’s Bazaar
Madonna appears on the cover of the collectors’ edition created by Harper’s Bazaar for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, to coincide with their landmark exhibition, Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk.
This limited edition of the April 2020 issue of Bazaar features an image from their 1999 photoshoot by Patrick Demarchelier, with Madonna wearing the red kimono created by Jean Paul Gaultier for the Nothing Really Matters video, which is shown as part as the V&A’s exhibition celebrated inside the magazine with a piece by the award-winning novelist Rowan Hisayo Buchanan.
This collectors’ issue is only available from the museum shop. The V&A, as several other cultural institutions around the globe, will temporarely shut their door tonight to safeguard the health and wellbeing of their visitors and staff facing the coronavirus outbreak.
This is also a chance for the entire MadonnaTribe team – which is based in countries such as Italy, France and the UK, to send the warmest virtual hug to the Madonna fans around the world facing this unprecedented challenge.
