Final night at The Palladium
Madonna wrapped up her series of theatre shows at The Palladium last night performing the shorter version of the Madame X tour setlist with a 9:30 PM start and a 11:20 finish.
It was a great final show, bringing on the great vibes of the night before. Lots of die-hard fans all front & centre, which Madonna was visibily happy with. She toasted London for a fantastic series, even with the threat of the iron curtain which she said she’d enjoyed every night.
The last Polaroid selfie moment in London was awkward. A fan offered £1300 which Madonna was not impressed with. He tried to ask her to sign the Polaroid and was told repeatedly by her security to stop asking. Eventually Madonna sold it to him but told him to fuck off.
The moment passed pretty quick and didn’t shadow the great vibe of the night but the funny thing was that Madonna ended up dropping a load of the cash and had to spend the first verse of American Life on her hands and knees scrabbling around for the money and eventually tossed it all at the dancer who had to finish the whole routine with a few hundred quid in notes in his fist.
Guy Oseary was again in the crowd, last night he sat with Ellie Goulding.
The next step – and the third European stop of the Madame X Tour – will be la Ville Lumiére. Madonna will open her series of show at Le Grand Rex in Paris Saturday, 22 February.
