Your love has given me hope
If you thought Madonna would have left you some time to breath and to prepare for the Batuka video dropping today, you’d understimated her. Madame X released another clip from the tour rehearsals where you see – and listen, of course – the Orquestra Batukadeiras joining her on Rescue Me.

As one of two new tracks Madonna recorded for The Immaculate Collection in 1990, Rescue Me peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March the following year, Keith Caulfield recalls on Billboard.com. It is also one of the three top 10 Hot 100 hits that Madonna has never performed live.
A Madonna fan long before becoming co-director of charts at Billboard, Keith brought this to the Queen of Pop’s attention back in May, whe he interviewed Madonna backstage during the Billboard Music Awards and asked if she would consider playing one those three missing tunes – the other ones being This Used to Be My Playground and I’ll Remember – on the Madame X Tour.
“I’ll tell you why [they haven’t been performed]: Because they’re very laidback dreamy songs,” Madonna said, suggesting that they don’t fit into her very high-energy, kick-butt shows.
Billboard countered: “Rescue Me‘s kinda punchy.”
“Rescue Me‘s kinda dope! I’ve actually… I’ll consider that one,” Madonna said. “Your love has given me hope, OK? To quote the song.”
