The female artist with the most UK’s #1 singles
The Official Charts Company compiled the list of the artists with the most Top 10 singles in the UK, including all those who have managed to notch up 20 and over Top 10 hits.
Still unbeaten when it comes to Top 10s in the UK is Elvis Presley: 76 of his songs have reached the top flight. The Kinf is followed by the UK’s very own rock and roll golden boy Cliff Richard, who’s made the Top 10 an astonishing 68 times as a credited artist, with his band and then solo.
The top female artist is the Queen of Pop herself: Madonna‘s 63 Top 10s put her in third place overall. Madonna also holds the record for most consecutive Top 10 peaks, 36 between 1984 and 1994.
