“I Rise” makes the Top 10 of Dance Club Songs, “Crave” hits new peak
I Rise has made the Top Ten of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart for the week of 3 August, 2019. The beautiful anthem from Madame X, remixed by DJ Tracy Young for the New York Pride climbs from No. 18 to No. 10 on its third week on the chart, which measures reports submitted by a national sample of club DJs.
Two Madame X tracks are in Dance Club Songs since I Rise joined Medellín in the chart three weeks ago. The kick off single peaked at No. 1 on the June 29-dated chart, marking Madonna’s 47th No. 1 dance hit and is now in its 13th week at No. 44.
In Adult Contemporary, Madonna and Swae Lee’s Crave sets its new peak at No. 11 bouncing back from last week’s No. 13. With this week’s new peak, Crave moves ahead of both Express Yourself and Open Your Heart (that both peaked at No. 12) and remains Madonna’s highest rank in Adult Contemporary since Frozen hit No. 8 on the 16 May 1998.
Madonna reached the top of the chart 5 times (Take a Bow, I’ll Remember, Cherish, Live to Tell, La Isla Bonita), had two No. 2 hits (Secret, Crazy for You), and was at No. 3 (Like a Prayer) and No. 4 (This Used to be My Playground) once. You’ll See, Angel, True Blue and Who’s That Girl all peaked at No. 5, Rain at No. 7, Frozen at No. 8.
In Adult Pop Songs, Crave moves down one spot to No. 35.
This is the third week in a row that three different songs from the Madame X are featured on the Billboard charts.
