“I Rise” becomes Madonna’s 48th No. 1 Dance Club Hit
I Rise will jump to the top spot of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart for the week of 31 August, 2019, extending Madonna‘s own record as the artist with the most No. 1s in the list as well as the most topper on any singular Billboard chart.
As much anticipated, I Rise is Madonna’s 48th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs – she rules the chart with 65 songs and 62 Top Ten hits since when the Holiday/Lucky Star single spent five weeks on the top in 1983.
Madonna’s most recent entry before I Rise is of course another Madame X hit: Medellín, which took the top spot in the week of 29 June, 2019.
