Here comes the Madame X Tour Book
On the Madame X theatre show in Brooklyn last night fans finally had the chance to buy their copies of the Tour Book from the merchandise stall.
Art director Anya Lange has been in charge of the graphic design of the 64-page book, that features photography by Ricardo Gomes and Steven Klein (and the late Herb Ritts, as one of the pages celebrates the 30th anniversary of Like a Prayer). It also contains images from the Jonas Åkerlund-directed video for God Control, from Batuka, directed by Emmanuel Adjei (still photography by Riccardo Castano) and from the World Pride performance in New York City. Five costume cut-outs from the Madame X era (but not from the show) and a set of four graphic postcards are also included. The booklet includes the complete tour credits but does not feature the setlist nor the tour itinerary.
The tour book cover reprises the artwork of the 15-track version of the album, edited in black and white with a red shade and is on sale for 40$ at the venue. It will also be available soon on the online shop at madonna.com, which by the way has just made available some more cool MX merchandise items, including new short and long sleeve tees and a trucker hat different from the one available at the show.
Last night the Polaroid went for 2000$ to a fan named Leo – check out his story at boyculture.com.
