Madonna to attend the Met Gala on Monday night – streamed live and 360°
With a bit of smart cross-marketing, the Instagram profile for Madonna’s MDNA Skin luxury skincare line confirmes that the Queen of Pop will once again shine when she attends this year’s Met Gala on Monday.
Taking place on the first Monday in May, the annual fundraising gala, put on by the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and colloquially and affectionately referred to as fashion’s biggest night out, marks a historic and culturally iconic night for the fashion industry, particularly when it comes to the red carpet.
This year, they honor Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo – known in particular for her avant-garde approach to fashion and ever-evolving ability to question the industry’s status quo – with an exhibition entitled Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.
The big new is that this year we’ll be able to tune into the event when Vogue streams live on Facebook the Met Gala red carpet, celebrated by Moët & Chandon. The feed will give the fans an exclusive first look at the exceptional glamour on the red carpet as guests arrive in real time – shot in 360° for a whole new viewing experience.
The event will take place on Monday, May 1, starting at 7 PM EDT.
