Chica Material for Record Store Day
The full list of more of 563 limited edition music releases that will hit the shelves of independent music shops in support of Record Store Day next month has been announced today, and for the second year in a row a Madonna vinyl reissue is on the list!
Madonna / Dance Mix – the 1985 four track EP originally released only in South America will be released on 4/22/2017 by Rhino/Warner Bros. as a 4500 units RSD Exclusive Release.
The rare 12″ features Madonna’s ground-breaking hit Into The Groove from the 1985 film Desperately Seeking Susan in which Madonna starred, an extended dance mix of 1984 single Angel produced by Nile Rodgers and mixed by Nile Rodgers and James Farber, a 12″ Chica Material (Material Girl) remix by John “Jellybean” Benitez and produced by Nile Rodgers and Vacacion (Holiday) produced by John “Jellybean” Benitez. Dance Mix is being released for the first time worldwide for Record Store Day 2017.
This is the second time that Madonna joins Record Store Day with an exclusive Rhino reissue. Last year it was the turn of Like A Virgin & Other Hits, the EP originally released in Japan in 1984.
