Madonna is the People’s Choice Awards 2016 Favorite Music Icon

Winners for People’s Choice Awards 2016 were announced during a live broadcast hosted by Jane Lynch at the Microsoft Theater on Wednesday, January 6th on the CBS Television Network. Madonna was named the Favorite Music Icon.

Now in its 42nd year, the People’s Choice Awards is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in movies, music, television and digital.
The People’s Choice official website at www.PeoplesChoice.com houses the voting platform where fans determine the nominees and winners for the annual awards show.

Winning as the Favorite Music Icon of the year Madonna beat Paul McCartney, Prince, Steven Tyler and Stevie Wonder. She was also nominated in the Favorite Female Artist category together with Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey, Selena Gomez and this year’s winner Taylor Swift.

Madonna will receive a bespoke, sparkling crystal trophies with a touch of a Sapphire Blue in the center of the flame created by Waterford.
