Madonna in 60 years of UK albums charts

The Official Charts Company celebrates the diamond anniversary of the UK Official Albums Chart this year – that’s 60 years since the very first Number 1 album was revealed.

There’s been nearly 1,100 Number 1 albums since then, and to kick off the celebrations throughout July, they revealed the UK’s official 60 biggest selling records of all time.
The Immaculate Collection made the list at #12. Madonna is the second top female solo artist in the list, following Adele which entered the chart at #4 with her 21.

The Queen of Pop is also part of the biggest selling album of every year since 1956 chart, with True Blue being the top selling album in year 1986.
