Tour Diary: “I tried so hard to not be provocative in my show”
Show number 3 brought the Rebel Heart Tour to the U.S. and it was again a fantastic night in a very packed Verizon Center arena. Here’s a recap of the latest news and tidbits.
The show in Washington, DC started shortly after 9.30 PM. There were no changes in the setlist and a lot of aknowledgments from Madonna to some of the audience members.
Madonna also had a few tongue-in-cheek words for Barak Obama, saying she was sad he didn’t come to her show, adding that maybe he thinks she’s too provocative. As this was before La Vie En Rose number and she dedicated the song to him, she added she hoped Mr. President understands French – “if he doesn’t, he’s in trouble!”. Check her out in the video by Mi Chris below:
The Unapologetic Bitch tonight was Heather, check her out in the video below shot and shared by MadonnaTribe Forum member DLo who has also uploaded several fantastic videos from last night’s performance on YouTube (thank you!):
The Rebel Heart Tour now moves to the Big Apple for the shows at Madison Square Garden on September 16 and 17, while on September 19 Madonna will perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the very first time. And don’t be surprised by the slightly longer break between the concerts in Washington and the ones in NYC, as today marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish New Year celebrations. Shanah tovah!
