Madonna’s Rebel Heart on top of the charts
As MadonnaTribe exclusively reported earlier today, Madonna tops once again the Italian album chart with Rebel Heart. This is her 15th #1 album in Italy. The Madonna effect can also be seen in the middle part of the official Fimi chart, with Celebration re-entering at #46.
On related news, Ghosttown is #3 in the singles chart compiled by Musica & Dischi.
Rebel Heart peaked at #1 in:
Australia, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Croatia (international albums), the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea (international albums) and Taiwan.
It made the top ten in:
Argentina, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Singapore, the UK (#2), France, Greece (#3), Ireland, Thailand (#5), New Zealand (#7), Japan (#8) and Sweden (#10).
In the USA as you already know Rebel Heart entered the Billboard 200 at #2 – but we think it’s worth having a look at the entire Billboard chart figures:

In Switzerland, Rebel Heart is Madonna’s 9th #1 album after True Blue, Like a Prayer, Evita, Ray of Light, Music, American Life, Confessions on a Dance Floor, Hard Candy. Her previous studio effort, MDNA, debuted at #2. Rebel Heart is also Madonna’s 10th #1 album in Spain.
Media Traffic also reports that the album is projected to sit atop the Global Album Chart next week, in the range between 280,000 and 300,000 copies sold.
