It’s casting time! Plus, more additional info
Preparations for Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour are ready to get into the next phase as casting has been announced for professional multi-disciplinary dancers in New York City. A casting notice appeared on backstage.com but MadonnaTribe can share some additional info.
A three day audition process will take place in New York City starting May 6th and will include an initial dancer call, specialty call and callback for dancers plus a final callback for all if chosen.
All specialty acts, B-Boys and solo acts are asked to come to the initial dancer call to learn the choreography they will be asked to perform for the callback. This will give the dancers a jump on the process as Madonna’s team is looking for multi-disciplined performers. Dancers will also have a chance for a specific spot for their specialty call time but everybody is expected to do their best in learning the choreography. The specialty call will give the dancers the opportunity to show off their true skills: as usual M’s people are looking for unique and creative solo, duo and partnering acts.
Here are some more interesting details: the call is for Madonna Rebel Heart Tour 2015-2016, confirming plans for a third leg next year.
Maverick is in charge as the production company and from what we hear Jamie King is back as the show director.
Rita Bland will be the casting director, with the help of Richard Dorton.
Interviews will take place on May 6 and 7, 2015
Callback is expected to take place on May 8 and the project start date is set for the next day – all in New York City.
