Madonna ”locked in the recording studio”, rep says
Today’s New York Post reports about rumours of Madonna‘s friendship with Emperor of Fashion Valentino falling over – a gossip fueled by “spies” at the recent WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards bash who said say the two icons at the same table but didn’t acknowledge each other.
Madonna also told Valentino’s longtime partner Giancarlo Giammetti to “please put your phone away, sir” while she was onstage at the event – outrage! – and skipped out a couple events last week.
When these things reach the New York press, it’s time to Madonna’s rep to set the record straight:
Madonna’s been locked in the recording studio. Regarding your question [about Madonna and Valentino], as the song goes, their love is here to stay. They remain very good friends and Madonna winked at Giancarlo – also a good friend who she adores – after she told him not to film her … sometimes known as joking around with a person.
