Madonna appointed as Malawi’s Goodwill Ambassador for Child Welfare
The President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed renowned American Pop Star Madonna Louise Ciccone, popularly known as Madonna, as Malawi’s Goodwill Ambassador for Child Welfare.
The appointment is with immediate effect.

Madonna said in a statement:
I feel a deep commitment and love for the children of Malawi and am grateful for the support of the government. I look forward to my new role as Global Ambassador for Child Welfare.
