Hands in the cement
The Traverse City Film Festival is auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to make filmmaker Michael Moore‘s long-time dream for a Hollywood-style Walk of Fame sidewalk on Front Street outside the State Theatre come true.
The TCFF have been collecting handprints over the past 9 years from visiting filmmakers including Madonna, Wim Wenders, Roseanne Barr, Rosie ODonnell, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Modine and more.
They have made their mark in cement – now its time to put their hands into their Walk of Fame with the help of an online auction that would feature star-studded items.
“I hope it raises $30,000 or $40,000 at a minimum to pay for this,” says Michael Moore quoted in a story on record-eagle.com. “I would love to raise over $100,000 to keep it maintained for a while.”
