In a video interview available as part of the MTV online coverage of her Unplugged special, Miley Cyrus discusses her relationship with Madonna and says:
“A lot of what [Madonna] represented for me is what I try to represent to girls now,” says Cyrus. “Not being afraid of sexuality and really being who you want to be and doing what you want to do.”
